About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and implement comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for functional and end-to-end workflows
Develop and maintain automated tests using Playwright and Python
Perform API, UI, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing
Validate backend data and analytics outputs using SQL
Test data-intensive applications, including data pipelines and ETL workflows
Identify test scenarios suitable for automation based on risk, business impact, and coverage
Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins
Investigate test failures, identify root causes, and work closely with developers to resolve issues
Identify, document, track, and verify defects through resolution using Jira or similar tools
Perform manual testing for scenarios that cannot be effectively automated
Support validation and root-cause analysis of production issues
Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Analytics teams to understand requirements and ensure product quality
Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve testability and overall software quality

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years of experience in QA automation / SDET roles
Strong hands-on experience with Playwright
Strong programming skills in Python
Strong experience with API and UI testing
Experience testing data-heavy, analytics, or SaaS applications
Strong SQL skills for backend/data validation
Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
Practical experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines
Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and continuous integration practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Experience with pytest preferred
Experience with Ginkgo / Go and BDD-style testing preferred
Experience with Golang preferred
Experience with ETL/data pipeline testing preferred
Experience with AWS, Terraform, and VPC preferred
Experience with Jenkins or similar CI tools preferred
Experience with Jira or similar defect management tools preferred
