About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Complete air conditioning service, automotive repairs, on-site scanning support, wire repairs, and diagnostics within the market area
- Perform air conditioning evacuation and recharge
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical repairs
- Complete estimating, invoicing, part identification, and pre- and post-quality-control checklists
- Explain technical diagnoses and repair planning needs to shop personnel, insurance adjusters, and customers
- Use diagnostic tools, equipment, and virtual support resources to make effective recommendations
- Test-drive vehicles after repairs
- Check parts for quality and accuracy before installation
- Complete assigned training, certifications, and continuing education
- Communicate with the field team to ensure efficiency and productivity
- Maintain an organized work area
- Ensure tooling software updates are completed immediately
- Manage assigned inventory, including laptops, OE scan tools, VCI, and other equipment
- Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 3 years automotive repair experience
- Knowledge of diagnostic scan tools and factory software
- Obtain AC certification and follow safety standards
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to use computers, mobile devices, and related technology efficiently
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to pass MVR check
- Ability to pass a background check
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds independently
- Ability to work in a shop environment in inclement weather
- Required to wear PPE, including facial covering, eye protection, and gloves
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions
- Extensive travel within the assigned area is expected
- Requires frequent driving of company and customer vehicles
- Requires standing for extended periods with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, and stooping
- May have exposure to fumes, dust, and chemicals
- Trade school experience is a plus
- ASE or I-CAR certifications are a plus
