About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete air conditioning service, automotive repairs, on-site scanning support, wire repairs, and diagnostics within the market area
  • Develop customer relationships and deliver operational consistency
  • Perform air conditioning evacuation and recharge
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical repairs
  • Complete estimating, invoicing, part identification, and pre- and post-quality-control checklists
  • Explain technical diagnoses and repair planning needs to shop personnel, insurance adjusters, and customers
  • Use diagnostic equipment, tools, and virtual support resources to make effective recommendations
  • Test-drive vehicles after repairs
  • Check parts for quality and accuracy before installation
  • Communicate with the field team to ensure efficiency and productivity
  • Maintain an organized work area
  • Complete tooling software updates immediately
  • Manage assigned inventory, including laptops, OE scan tools, VCI, and other provided equipment
  • Maintain excellent customer relationships through company purpose and core values

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 3 years automotive repair experience
  • Trade school experience a plus
  • ASE or I-CAR certifications a plus
  • Knowledge of diagnostic scan tools and factory software
  • Obtain AC certification and follow safety standards
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Knowledge and ability to use computers, mobile devices, and related technology efficiently
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude, with a customer-focused vision
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to pass MVR check
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Must be able to lift 60 pounds independently
  • Requires standing for extended periods with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, and stooping
  • Requires frequent driving of company and customer vehicles
  • Extensive travel within assigned area is expected
  • May have exposure to fumes, dust, and chemicals
  • Ability to work in a shop environment in inclement weather
  • Required to wear PPE, including facial covering, eye protection, and gloves
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions
