About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Complete air conditioning service, automotive repairs, on-site scanning support, wire repairs, and diagnostics within the market area
- Perform air conditioning evacuation and recharge
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical repairs
- Complete estimating, invoicing, part identification, and pre- and post-quality-control checklists
- Explain technical diagnoses and repair planning needs to shop personnel, insurance adjusters, and customers
- Use tools, diagnostic equipment, and virtual support team resources to make effective recommendations
- Test drive vehicles after repairs
- Check parts for quality and accuracy before installation
- Communicate with the field team to ensure efficiency and productivity
- Maintain an organized work area
- Complete tooling software updates immediately
- Manage assigned inventory, including laptops, OE scan tools, VCI, and other provided equipment
- Develop and maintain customer relationships through company purpose and core values
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 3 years automotive repair experience
- Trade school experience a plus
- ASE or I-CAR certifications a plus
- Knowledge of diagnostic scan tools and factory software
- Obtain AC certification and follow safety standards
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge and ability to use computers, mobile devices, and related technology efficiently
- Self-motivated, positive attitude, with a customer-focused vision
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to pass MVR check
- Ability to pass a background check
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds independently
- Requires standing for extended periods with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, and stooping
- Requires frequent driving of company and customer vehicles
- Extensive travel within assigned area is expected
- May have exposure to fumes, dust, and chemicals
- Ability to work in a shop environment in inclement weather
- Required to wear PPE, including facial covering, eye protection, and gloves
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions
