About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Achieve sales and placement goals for speech-generating devices through marketing, in-services, demonstrations, and evaluations
- Work with speech-language pathologists, healthcare professionals, patients, and families
- Manage territory revenue and service goals
- Maintain rapport with referral sources, speech clinics, and DME partners
- Help process orders with DME partners, speech clinics, and physicians
- Schedule and arrange timely device deliveries
- Train DME partners on equipment, delivery, and setup
- Follow up with patients after product delivery
- Promote products and services to community referral sources
- Maintain ongoing contact with speech therapy clinics, school systems, rehabilitation facilities, hospitals, home health agencies, private-duty nursing agencies, SLP programs, advocacy groups, and associations
- Assist in training subsequent AAC Consultants
- Report weekly using designated spreadsheets and maintain documentation in Brightree, SharePoint, and other software systems
- Perform other duties as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- MS, CCC-SLP is strongly preferred
- SLP-A (Bachelor’s degree, Speech Language Pathologist–Assistant) will be considered
- Experience with AAC devices and software
- Clinical experience combined with sales aptitude
- Ability to work independently
- Outstanding written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel up to 75%
- Must carry personal liability insurance with a minimum limit of $100,000
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, 10-key skills, AAC software, and other software applications
- Excellent computer skills
- Knowledge of Apple and Microsoft products is a plus
- Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to stand, talk, hear, sit, walk, kneel, reach, and perform occasional stooping, bending, twisting, and crouching
