About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Achieve sales and placement goals for speech-generating devices through marketing, in-services, demonstrations, and evaluations
  • Work with speech-language pathologists, healthcare professionals, patients, and families
  • Adhere to company, accreditation, HIPAA, government, and professional standards
  • Manage territory revenue and service goals
  • Maintain relationships with referral sources, speech clinics, and DME partners
  • Assist with timely order processing with DME partners, speech clinics, and physicians
  • Schedule and arrange device deliveries
  • Train DME partners on equipment, delivery, and setup
  • Follow up with patients after product delivery
  • Promote products and services to community referral sources
  • Regularly contact speech therapy clinics, school systems, rehabilitation facilities, hospitals, home healthcare agencies, private-duty nursing agencies, SLP university programs, advocacy groups, and associations
  • Be available to referral sources as needed
  • Assist in training new AAC Consultants
  • Complete designated spreadsheets weekly and document referral management and partnerships in Brightree/SharePoint
  • Perform other duties as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • MS, CCC-SLP is strongly preferred
  • SLP-A (Bachelor’s degree, Speech Language Pathologist–Assistant) will be considered
  • Clinical experience combined with sales aptitude
  • Experience with AAC devices and software
  • Self-starter with strong work ethic and desire to build a profitable territory
  • Ability to work independently
  • Outstanding written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel as needed, up to 25%
  • Must carry personal liability insurance with a minimum limit of $100,000
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, 10-key, AAC software, and other software applications
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Knowledge of Apple and Microsoft products is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to stand, talk, hear, walk, kneel, reach, and occasionally stoop, bend, twist, and crouch
  • May be required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
