About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the day-to-day administration and maintenance of SAP landscapes
- Monitor SAP environments including ECC, S/4HANA, NetWeaver, and related platforms
- Assist with SAP system refreshes, client copies, transports, and routine Basis activities
- Support SAP patching, kernel updates, and system maintenance activities
- Monitor system health, availability, and performance
- Administer and support SAP monitoring and management platforms
- Configure monitoring alerts, thresholds, dashboards, and notifications
- Analyze system alerts and work with technical teams to resolve issues
- Perform health checks and proactive monitoring across SAP environments
- Support root cause analysis for recurring system and performance issues
- Provide Level 2 support for SAP Basis and platform-related issues
- Troubleshoot SAP application, connectivity, performance, and infrastructure incidents
- Participate in incident management and change management processes
- Create and maintain operational documentation and support procedures
- Monitor SAP application performance and system utilization
- Identify performance bottlenecks and escalate remediation recommendations
- Generate operational reports and dashboard metrics for stakeholders
- Support capacity planning and availability management initiatives
- Partner with SAP functional teams, infrastructure teams, and managed services providers
- Assist with planned maintenance activities and system upgrades
- Support audit, compliance, and operational readiness activities
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across SAP operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years of SAP technical experience
- Hands-on SAP Basis administration experience
- Experience supporting SAP ECC, S/4HANA, or NetWeaver environments
- Experience with one or more of SAP Solution Manager, Avantra (Syslink), BMC Patrol, SAP CCMS, or ProMonitor
- Experience monitoring enterprise SAP production environments
- Working knowledge of SAP transports, system monitoring, and Basis operations
- Experience troubleshooting SAP performance and availability issues
- Familiarity with Linux and/or Windows server environments
- SAP Basis Administration certification is preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- U.S. Citizenship or Green Card Holder is required
