About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead client relationships and provide guidance through engagement completion
  • Manage technology-related risk for strategic clients
  • Develop strategies and solutions for complex business problems using analytics, automation, and modern tools
  • Develop new projects, identify new business, and build lasting client and community relationships
  • Serve as an ambassador of Protiviti in the market
  • Mentor teams and provide growth and development opportunities
  • Oversee successful completion of project work plans
  • Design, manage, and optimize modern data engineering and data platform solutions with Databricks
  • Formulate, communicate, and execute data strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Assess, improve, and migrate on-premises, cloud, and legacy data solutions to Databricks
  • Implement and optimize ETL processes, databases, pipelines, queries, and data models
  • Administer data solutions for stability, security, scalability, and affordability
  • Implement data governance frameworks and policies, including Unity Catalog
  • Lead business development, proposals, sales, thought leadership, and knowledge-sharing initiatives
  • Translate and communicate issues, risks, and challenges to client personnel and executives
  • Lead and supervise diverse engagement teams across client industries

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., MIS, CIS, Analytics)
  • 9+ years working in professional services or related industry
  • Required: Professional Databricks certification (Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional or Databricks Certified Machine Learning Professional)
  • Preferred: Databricks Champion
  • Experience designing and delivering modern data engineering solutions with Databricks
  • Experience with data strategies, existing data solution assessments, data migration, ETL, databases, data optimization, data administration, data engineering, data warehousing, data modeling, data analytics, data governance, data security, networking, DevOps/DataOps, and Databricks deployment
  • Expert in SQL and Spark (PySpark & Spark SQL)
  • Competency with at least 3 and exposure to most listed Databricks technologies
  • Experience establishing business relationships and pursuing business development opportunities
  • Leadership and direct supervisory experience, including performance appraisals, mentoring, coaching, work review, and team coordination
  • Successful completion of a background check
