About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate with Protiviti teams to deliver high-quality, client-focused solutions to complex business problems
  • Work with clients across industries on Internal Audit and Financial Advisory engagements
  • Assess risks and analyze data
  • Document observations and communicate insights that contribute to client engagements
  • Develop understanding of business processes, regulatory environments, and risk/control frameworks
  • Build fluency in AI-enabled analysis, data interrogation, and audit methodology
  • Build professional relationships with client and project team personnel
  • Manage time and priorities effectively and take ownership of assignments
  • Contribute to team outcomes and client service
  • Work in Business Process Audit and Advisory or Technology Audit and Advisory
  • Explore business processes, identify and mitigate emerging risks, develop solutions, and encourage best practices
  • Support regulatory and compliance requirements, control monitoring and testing, security, and corporate governance
  • Assess and advise on technology risks and opportunities, including cybersecurity, AI risk, data governance, cloud, privacy, software development, technology resilience, and technology governance
  • Participate in varied project experiences, training, coaching, committees, employee network groups, and networking activities
  • Work in Protiviti offices and on client sites, including local or out-of-state travel based on project and client needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, such as Accounting, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems
  • Authorization to work in the United States for Protiviti without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Demonstrated proficiency in applying AI tools to analytical and research tasks, such as Microsoft Copilot and GenAI
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and innovation to client engagements across various industries
  • Technical proficiency aligned with the assigned capability area
  • Ability to work effectively in teams and independently
  • Creativity and analytical thinking for problem-solving
  • Ability to evaluate, synthesize, organize, and interpret data effectively
  • Growth mindset and willingness to embrace challenges
  • Willingness to seek feedback and guidance
  • Strong academic background
  • Drive toward obtaining professional certifications
  • Understanding of internal audit processes, emerging technologies, frameworks, and audit objectives
  • Experience handling and analyzing data and information in various formats
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization tools such as Power BI
  • Entry-level proficiency in software development, best practices, and methodologies
  • Interest in advanced analytics and automation technologies, such as Alteryx, MS Power Platform, and Python
  • Ability to leverage AI tools with strong human judgment
  • Successful completion of a background check as a condition of employment
