About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support legal advisory, legal operations, department modernization, AI-enabled legal work, contracts, investigations, and litigation support
- Conduct interviews, research, and fact-finding
- Compile, evaluate, organize, interpret, and analyze qualitative and quantitative information
- Document findings, assumptions, risks, dependencies, and unresolved questions
- Prepare initial deliverables, process maps, implementation materials, playbooks, reports, presentations, and executive summaries
- Support assessments of legal department operations, processes, workflows, organizational needs, and technology use
- Assist with legal modernization and transformation initiatives
- Support identification and evaluation of legal and business uses for AI
- Assist with AI adoption, process design, requirements gathering, testing, documentation, and governance
- Review and analyze contract processes, contract information, and operational data
- Coordinate tasks among attorneys, business professionals, technology teams, and consultants
- Support investigations, litigation support, contracts, legal operations, or e-discovery matters as client needs require
- Manage assigned tasks, deadlines, and deliverable quality
- Build professional relationships and develop core consulting skills through interaction with clients and project teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Criminal Justice, or a related discipline
- One or more years of relevant professional, internship, or substantive project experience
- Demonstrated analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and oral communication abilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort working with structured information and data
- Ability to produce accurate, reviewable documentation and incorporate feedback
- Ability to learn unfamiliar legal, operational, and technology concepts quickly
- Ability to analyze information coherently and communicate key implications clearly
- Interest in AI and emerging technologies improving legal-service delivery
- Understanding of people, process, data, technology, and governance in legal modernization
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with attorneys, business professionals, technology teams, and consultants
- Ability to work across multiple legal consulting disciplines and serve diverse clients across multiple industries
- Exposure to consulting, in-house legal departments, legal operations, contracts, investigations, litigation support, compliance, technology, or related professional services preferred
- Exposure to legal technology, contract lifecycle processes, e-discovery, AI-enabled workflows, or legal department transformation preferred but not required
- JD, paralegal credential, CAPM, or relevant technology certification may be helpful but is not required
- Successful completion of a background check is required as a condition of employment
