About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with clients to identify and manage risk
- Develop strategies and solutions for complex business problems using current tools and methods
- Develop lasting client relationships through quality product delivery
- Foster a business-community network and serve as a Protiviti market ambassador
- Mentor teams and provide performance development
- Oversee successful completion of project work plans
- Manage Workday implementation and optimization projects
- Lead future-state design and process improvement projects for HCM and Payroll functions
- Lead and facilitate requirements definition, design workshops, testing, data conversion, training, cutover, and post-go-live support
- Design and architect Workday HCM and Payroll configurations, including Core HCM, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Benefits Administration, Payroll, and integrations
- Conduct gap analyses and recommend solutions or enhancements
- Lead Workday application control reviews and risk assessments
- Assess Workday platforms in the context of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance efforts
- Evaluate, summarize, organize, and interpret data
- Establish and cultivate relationships with business contacts and senior executives
- Pursue business development opportunities and implement strategies to obtain new work or clientele
- Translate and communicate issues, risks, and challenges to client personnel
- Lead and supervise teams, including appraisals, mentoring, coaching, work review, and cross-team coordination
- Contribute to client proposals, strategies, training creation, and rollout
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, such as Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Psychology, Information Technology/MIS, or Engineering
- 7+ years working in a related field or professional services
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Secondary proficiency in Visio and Access
- Professional certification such as Workday HCM and/or Payroll or similar strongly preferred
- Experience serving as a Workday solution architect and workstream lead for HCM and Payroll
- Experience managing large, complex Workday HCM and payroll implementations
- Experience developing Workday HCM and payroll implementation plans, including effort, timing, and cost estimates
- Functional and systems experience focused on HCM and Payroll business functions
- Experience designing and implementing Workday HCM and Payroll configurations
- Experience implementing best practices for data accuracy, security, and compliance
- Experience conducting gap analysis between business needs and Workday capabilities
- Experience leading and performing Workday application control reviews and risk assessments
- Ability to evaluate, summarize, organize, and interpret data
- Ability to establish and cultivate business relationships and a professional network, including with senior executives
- Experience pursuing business development opportunities and obtaining new work or clientele
- Ability to communicate issues, risks, and challenges to client personnel, including executives
- Leadership and direct supervisory experience, including performance appraisals, mentoring, coaching, work oversight, cross-team coordination, and team motivation
- Successful completion of a background check is required
- Must be able to work in the United States; Protiviti is not registered to hire or employ personnel in West Virginia or Alaska
