About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Advise the business and drive operational effectiveness for practice personnel
- Partner with leadership to staff consulting professionals on client projects
- Manage utilization, chargeability, forecasting, scheduling, and other staffing metrics
- Develop and maintain relationships with business leaders to maximize deployment opportunities
- Analyze reporting platforms and large datasets, including schedule accuracy, engagement size, projections, and variance
- Provide staffing insights, trends, forecasts, improvement opportunities, and areas of concern to leadership
- Lead staffing calls and escalate staffing issues to solution or regional leaders
- Partner with engagement teams to ensure schedule accuracy for professional and variable labor
- Optimize business practices and processes with operations teams
- Understand strategic client accounts, engagement scopes, contractual documents, roles, and client needs
- Track resource requests, conduct skills searches, and present candidates for assignments
- Collaborate across Talent Management capabilities and geographies to fulfill client demands
- Meet with employees to understand skills, career goals, preferences, and development needs
- Propose resources for assignments aligned with skills, goals, preferences, and business needs
- Participate in performance management and support conversations with practice leadership and Human Resources
- Engage with employees during critical career periods such as leave, life events, and career stressors
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as business, human resources, or communications
- 5+ years in a related field, preferably with a professional services firm
- Previous business consulting, business operations, human resources, or recruiting experience highly preferred
- Strong organizational skills; ability to work independently, multitask, prioritize tasks, and work with urgency
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with executives and audiences of varying sizes, virtually and in person
- Ability to have difficult conversations and resolve conflicts
- Fluency in Microsoft Excel at intermediate to advanced level, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting, and If/Then statements
- Fluency in Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- Proficiency and/or interest in data visualization programs such as Power BI
- Willingness to embrace emerging technologies, including Microsoft Copilot and Cowork
- Professionalism, confidence, enthusiasm, and attention to detail
- Ability to travel across Protiviti offices up to 15%
- Successful completion of a background check
