About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct interviews, compile and analyze data, and document findings
- Develop professional relationships with client and project team personnel
- Take ownership of assignments and develop time and project management skills
- Help clients manage risks associated with their use of technology and protect and enhance enterprise value
- Identify technology-related solutions using AI and automation
- Incorporate analytics, AI, automation, and other tools into audit work
- Assess, identify risk, advise, and consult on technology-related topics including cybersecurity, cloud assurance, project risk, technology risk management, IT general controls, AI and data governance, data privacy, technology regulations, enterprise applications, technology resilience, IT Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, emerging technologies, second-line controls governance, and technology enablement
- Collaborate with diverse teams and contribute to client relationships and exceptional client service
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, such as Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a business-related field
- 1+ years working in internal audit, consulting, assurance services, risk and control programs, or a related field, in professional services or industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; secondary emphasis on Visio and Access
- Experience with or understanding of IT audit methodologies and audit deliverables, including process flows, work programs, audit reports, and control summaries
- Familiarity with internal control frameworks, including COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS, and ITIL
- Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Act provisions and compliance methodologies, particularly technology implications and requirements
- Exposure to or interest in cybersecurity, cloud, data governance, privacy, analytics, enterprise applications, disaster recovery, and systems development methodologies
- Exposure to analytics and technology enablement, including automation and AI/ML
- Experience documenting findings and summarizing recommendations
- Interest in or ability to leverage AI for personal productivity and internal audit and SOX activities, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting
- Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Python, and/or RPA Solutions are a plus
- Professional certification such as CIA, CRMA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, or similar is a plus
- Successful completion of a background check is required as a condition of employment
