About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Collaborate with Protiviti teams to deliver high-quality, client-focused solutions to complex business problems
Work with clients, typically leading global companies, across different industries
Participate in varied technology consulting projects across business platform transformation, enterprise data/analytics/AI, Microsoft, security and privacy, technology risk and resilience, and technology strategy and architecture
Compile and analyze data, document findings, and communicate insights for client engagements
Develop understanding of business processes and technical skills in general risk areas
Build professional relationships with clients and project team personnel
Manage time and priorities, take ownership of assignments, and contribute to team results
Participate in onboarding, consulting training, foundational learning, coaching, and hands-on project experiences
Work with Talent Managers who assign project experiences aligned with career growth, skills, and business needs
Collaborate with leaders and advisors across the practice
Work in person at local Protiviti offices and on client sites, with possible local or out-of-state travel based on project and client needs

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Computer Science, Data Science, Decision Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Internet of Things, Applied Math, Machine Learning, Quantum, or other technology majors
Authorization to work in the United States for Protiviti without sponsorship now or in the future
Experience solving problems using AI-powered productivity and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Copilot or GenAI
Advanced verbal and written communication skills
Ability to apply critical thinking and innovation to client engagements across various industries
Technical proficiency aligned to the assigned capability area
Ability to work effectively in teams and independently
Creativity and analytical ability
Ability to evaluate, synthesize, organize, and interpret data and information
Growth mindset and willingness to embrace challenges
Willingness to seek feedback and guidance
Drive toward obtaining professional technical certifications and a strong academic background
Understanding of major business intelligence reporting tools such as Power BI, BusinessObjects, Cognos, MicroStrategy, Tableau, QlikView, or SSRS
Competency with Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, Teradata, or other major database management systems
Entry-level proficiency with domain management strategies, network segmentation, firewalls, and middleware tools
Introductory knowledge of internal control frameworks or IT controls and business/technology risks
Familiarity with technology project risks and mitigation strategies
Knowledge of security topics including authentication, entitlements, identity management, data protection, data leakage prevention, validation checking, encryption, hashing, least privilege, software attack methods, and data storage
Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Workday and system implementation concepts
Ability to convey complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
Foundational understanding of cybersecurity, resilience, and risk management frameworks and industry regulation
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and modern customer technology environments
Strong analytical and data manipulation skills using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools
Ability to synthesize research, develop clear documentation, and communicate findings effectively in team settings
Experience working with data for AI or automation use cases, including data cleaning and model support
Ability to apply AI tools to enhance work efficiency, streamline analysis, and improve project delivery
Relevant programming skills such as Python, Java, or JavaScript are preferred
Successful completion of a background check
