About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the Workday team as a Technology Consulting Associate Director
  • Strengthen client relationships and provide guidance through engagement completion
  • Partner with strategic clients to identify and manage risk
  • Develop strategies and solutions for complex business problems using analytics, automation, and current tools and methods
  • Develop new projects and identify new business opportunities
  • Build lasting client and community relationships and serve as a Protiviti ambassador in the market
  • Mentor teams and provide growth and development opportunities
  • Oversee successful completion of project work plans
  • Lead and perform Workday implementation activities including requirements definition, design workshops, testing, data conversion, training, cutover, and post-go-live support
  • Design and manage future-state processes for Record to Report and/or Order to Cash functions
  • Manage large, complex Workday Financials implementations
  • Develop implementation plans, including effort, timing, and cost estimates
  • Establish and cultivate business relationships and professional networks with senior executives
  • Pursue business development opportunities and implement strategies to obtain new work or clientele
  • Communicate issues, risks, and challenges to client personnel, including executives
  • Conduct performance appraisals, mentor and coach team members, review work, coordinate across teams, and motivate staff
  • Contribute to thought leadership and knowledge-sharing across teams
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, such as MIS, Finance/Accounting, or Engineering
  • 9+ years working in professional services or industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; secondary emphasis on Visio and Access
  • Workday certified in Financials strongly preferred; Accounting Center, Adaptive, and/or Prism certifications are a plus
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting practices
  • Demonstrated experience leading/managing future-state design and process improvement projects focused on Record to Report (R2R) and/or Order to Cash (O2C)
  • Functional and systems experience focused on R2R and/or O2C business functions
  • Experience serving as a solution architect, project manager, and/or workstream lead for R2R and/or O2C during Workday design and implementation
  • Experience managing large, complex Workday Financials implementations
  • Experience developing Workday Financials and Account Center implementation plans, including estimating effort, timing, and costs
  • Experience designing and implementing Workday, including requirements definition, design workshops, testing, data conversion, training, cutover, and post-go-live support
  • Experience establishing business relationships and professional networks, including with senior executives
  • Experience pursuing business development opportunities and obtaining new work or clientele
  • Ability to translate and communicate issues, risks, and challenges to client personnel, including executives
  • Leadership and direct supervisory experience, including performance appraisals, mentoring, coaching, work review, cross-team coordination, and motivating teams
  • Successful completion of a background check
