About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with clients to solve complex business problems and provide impactful advice and solutions
- Develop lasting relationships with client personnel through quality product delivery
- Foster a network within the business community and serve as an ambassador of Protiviti in the market
- Mentor, train, and coach Consultants and Senior Consultants
- Facilitate successful completion of project work plans
- Lead and manage future-state design and process improvement projects for R2R and/or O2C functions
- Serve as solution architect, project manager, and/or workstream lead during Workday design and implementation
- Manage large, complex Workday Financials implementations
- Develop Workday Financials and Account Center implementation plans, estimating effort, timing, and costs
- Lead requirements definition, design workshops, testing, data conversion, training, cutover, and post-go-live support
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand financial reporting and data management requirements
- Design and architect Workday Financials configurations, including FDM, workflows/business processes, account structures, and integrations
- Implement Workday Financials and FDM best practices for data accuracy, security, and accounting compliance
- Conduct gap analyses between business needs and Workday capabilities and recommend solutions or enhancements
- Stay current on Workday Financials, FDM, Accounting Center, Adaptive, and Prism features
- Lead application control reviews and risk assessments for customers using Workday, Oracle, SAP, and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Participate in client proposal preparation and strategies to win new business
- Work with a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., MIS, Finance/Accounting, Engineering)
- 5+ years working in professional services or industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; secondary emphasis on Visio and Access
- Workday certified in Financials is strongly preferred; certifications in Accounting Center, Adaptive, and/or Prism are a plus
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting practices
- Demonstrated experience leading/managing future-state design and process improvement projects focused on Record to Report (R2R) and/or Order to Cash (O2C)
- Functional and systems experience focused on R2R and/or O2C
- Experience serving as a solution architect, project manager, and/or workstream lead for R2R and/or O2C during Workday design and implementation
- Experience serving as a project manager over large, complex Workday Financials implementations
- Experience developing Workday Financials and Account Center implementation plans, including estimating effort, timing, and costs
- Experience designing and implementing Workday, including requirements definition, design workshops, testing, data conversion, training, cutover, and post-go-live support
- Knowledge of Workday Accounting Center, Adaptive, and/or Prism is a plus
- Knowledge of segregation of duties, sensitive access, and user access security; experience designing/configuring Workday, Oracle Cloud, and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Leadership and direct supervisory experience, including performance appraisals, mentoring, coaching, work review, team coordination, and motivation
- Successful completion of a background check required for employment
