Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with clients to solve complex business problems and provide impactful advice and solutions

  • Facilitate successful completion of project work plans
  • Lead and manage future-state design and process-improvement projects for R2R and/or O2C functions
  • Serve as solution architect, project manager, and/or workstream lead for Workday design and implementation
  • Manage large, complex Workday Financials implementations
  • Develop Workday Financials and Accounting Center implementation plans, including effort, timing, and cost estimates
  • Lead requirements definition, design workshops, testing, data conversion, training, cutover, and post-go-live support
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders on financial reporting and data-management requirements
  • Design and architect Workday Financials configurations, including FDM, workflows/BPs, account structures, and integrations
  • Conduct gap analyses and recommend solutions or enhancements
  • Stay current on Workday Financials, FDM, Accounting Center, Adaptive, and Prism features
  • Lead application control reviews and risk assessments for Workday, Oracle, SAP, and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Participate in client proposal preparation and new-business strategies
  • Support team development, training creation and rollout, and improvement initiatives
  • Work with a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., MIS, Finance/Accounting, Engineering)
  • 5+ years working in professional services or industry
  • Demonstrated experience leading/managing future-state design and process-improvement projects focused on Record to Report (R2R) and/or Order to Cash (O2C)
  • Functional and systems experience focused on R2R and/or O2C
  • Experience serving as a solution architect, project manager, and/or workstream lead during Workday design and implementation
  • Experience managing large, complex Workday Financials implementations
  • Experience developing Workday Financials and Accounting Center implementation plans, including estimating effort, timing, and costs
  • Experience designing and implementing Workday, including requirements definition, design workshops, testing, data conversion, training, cutover, and post-go-live support
  • Experience designing and architecting Workday Financials configurations, including FDM, workflows/BPs, account structures, and integrations
  • Experience implementing Workday Financials and FDM best practices for data accuracy, security, and accounting-standard compliance
  • Experience conducting gap analysis between business needs and Workday capabilities
  • Experience leading application control reviews and risk assessments for Workday, Oracle, SAP, and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Knowledge of segregation of duties, sensitive access, and user access security
  • Experience with design and configuration of Workday, Oracle Cloud, and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Leadership and direct supervisory experience, including performance appraisals, mentoring, coaching, work oversight/review, cross-team coordination, and team motivation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; secondary emphasis on Visio and Access
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting practices
  • Successful completion of a background check as a condition of employment
  • Workday Financials certification strongly preferred; Accounting Center, Adaptive, and/or Prism certifications are a plus
  • Working knowledge of Workday Accounting Center, Adaptive, and/or Prism is a plus
  • Sarbanes-Oxley compliance assessment experience is a plus
