About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with clients to solve complex business problems and provide impactful advice and solutions
  • Develop lasting relationships with client personnel through quality product delivery

  • Mentor, train, and coach Consultants and Senior Consultants
  • Facilitate successful completion of project work plans
  • Lead and manage future-state design and process improvement projects for R2R and/or O2C functions
  • Serve as solution architect, project manager, and/or workstream lead during Workday Financials design and implementations
  • Develop Workday Financials and Accounting Center implementation plans, including effort, timing, and cost estimates
  • Lead requirements definition, design workshops, testing, data conversion, training, cutover, and post-go-live support
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand financial reporting and data management requirements
  • Design and architect Workday Financials configurations, including FDM, workflows/BPs, account structures, and system integrations
  • Implement Workday Financials and FDM best practices for data accuracy, security, and accounting compliance
  • Conduct gap analyses between business needs and Workday capabilities and recommend solutions or enhancements
  • Stay current on Workday Financials, FDM, Accounting Center, Adaptive, and Prism functionality
  • Lead application control reviews and risk assessments for customers using Workday, Oracle, SAP, and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Participate in Sarbanes-Oxley compliance assessments
  • Lead teams and coordinate work across teams, including performance reviews and development opportunities
  • Participate in client proposal preparation and strategies to win new business
  • Work with a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, such as MIS, Finance/Accounting, or Engineering
  • 5+ years working in professional services or industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; secondary emphasis on Visio and Access
  • Workday certified in Financials strongly preferred; certifications in Accounting Center, Adaptive, and/or Prism are a plus
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting practices
  • Demonstrated experience leading/managing future-state design and process improvement projects focused on Record to Report (R2R) and/or Order to Cash (O2C)
  • Functional and systems experience with R2R and/or O2C business functions
  • Experience serving as solution architect, project manager, and/or workstream lead for R2R and/or O2C during Workday design and implementation
  • Experience managing large, complex Workday Financials implementations
  • Experience developing Workday Financials and Accounting Center implementation plans, including effort, timing, and cost estimates
  • Experience designing and implementing Workday, including requirements definition, design workshops, testing, data conversion, training, cutover, and post-go-live support
  • Experience with Workday Financials configuration, including FDM, workflows/BPs, account structures, and integrations
  • Knowledge of Workday Accounting Center, Adaptive, and/or Prism is a plus
  • Knowledge of segregation of duties, sensitive access, and user access security across Workday, Oracle Cloud, and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Leadership and direct supervisory experience, including performance appraisals, mentoring, coaching, work oversight, cross-team coordination, and motivating teams
  • Background check required as a condition of employment
  • Ability to work in a hybrid model, including in-person work at local Protiviti offices and client sites, with local or out-of-state travel as required
