About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Schedule complex imaging and medical procedures, including Interventional, Nuclear Medicine, Anesthesia, Short Stay, and Admitting procedures
- Obtain exam information, specialized equipment and resource requirements, implant information, and current/historical medical information
- Collect ICD coding, medical history, allergy, and patient demographic information
- Schedule multiple exams across multiple departments and entities
- Obtain and manage physician orders efficiently
- Ensure imaging exams are correctly and efficiently scheduled and processed
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2 years of medical and/or clerical experience
- Demonstrated outstanding customer service experience
- Ability to use multiple computer applications, including HIS/RIS, scheduling software, network drives, reporting systems, and/or PACS
- Ability to use intermediate and complex medical terminology
- Ability to follow precise scheduling protocols
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, close-quarters, high-call-volume environment
- Ability to obtain and manage physician orders in a timely and efficient manner
