About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive growth of consumer and business customer relationships
  • Administer and operate multiple retail branch offices or a qualifying single branch
  • Manage operations and risk management, including adherence to internal controls
  • Oversee lending, product sales, customer service, performance management, security, and safety
  • Lead branch team members to achieve branch objectives and employee development
  • Maintain, expand, and develop internal and external customer relationships
  • Drive account profitability, relationship profitability, deposit growth, retail, small business and commercial loan growth, non-traditional product sales, and cross-selling of financial products and services
  • Monitor sales goals and coach branch team members on sales skills and opportunity recognition
  • Conduct weekly team huddles and team meetings focused on sales activities and results
  • Manage and perform the external sales calling program
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and development for branch team members
  • Participate in leadership development courses and product/service training
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and validate service quality through customer satisfaction surveys
  • Participate in local community events and organizations
  • Direct branch staff with Assistant Branch Managers across branch operations
  • Ensure compliance with bank policies, procedures, and government regulations
  • Ensure required reports are complete and timely
  • Interview, hire, train, assign, manage, appraise, reward, discipline, and develop employees
  • Address employee complaints, resolve problems, and provide feedback and corrective actions
  • Manage all branch risk-management issues
  • Travel between customer sites, Provident offices, and branches as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 7 years Branch Manager experience in a sales and service environment
  • Business development experience, with strong community ties within the general area of branch locations
  • Demonstrate positive and professional client-centric and service-oriented attitude
  • Clearly communicates a vision and removes barriers for team success
  • Proven ability to meet sales targets and production goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized; ability to plan and complete multiple priorities with competing deadlines
  • Knowledge of banking operational processes and how they relate to Federal Regulations and Laws
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based upon the needs of the business
  • Ability to travel throughout the branch network
  • Experience managing multiple locations or managing remote locations
  • Will be required to register as a mortgage loan originator with the NMLS prior to being allowed to take mortgage loan applications, negotiate or extend terms of a mortgage or other loan secured by a residence
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
  • Prior multi-branch/office management experience preferred
