About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive growth of consumer and business customer relationships
- Administer and operate multiple retail branch offices or a qualifying single branch
- Manage branch operations and risk management, including adherence to internal controls
- Oversee lending, product sales, customer service, performance management, security, and safety
- Lead branch team members to achieve branch objectives and support employee development
- Maintain, expand, and develop internal and external customer relationships
- Drive account profitability, relationship profitability, deposit growth, retail, small business, and commercial loan growth
- Increase non-traditional product sales and cross-selling of financial products and services
- Achieve assigned goals and monitor sales goals for branch team members
- Coach team members on sales skills and recognizing customer opportunities
- Conduct weekly team huddles and team meetings focused on sales activities and results
- Manage and perform the external sales calling program
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and inspiration to branch team members
- Ensure exceptional customer service and validate service quality through customer satisfaction surveys
- Participate in local community events and organizations
- Direct branch staff with Assistant Branch Managers across daily branch operations
- Ensure compliance with Bank policies, procedures, internal controls, and government regulations
- Ensure required reports are complete and submitted on time
- Interview, hire, train, manage, assign work, appraise, develop, reward, and discipline employees
- Address employee complaints, resolve problems, and provide feedback and corrective action
- Manage branch risk-related issues
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED
- 7 years Branch Manager experience in a sales and service environment
- Business development experience, with strong community ties within the general area of branch locations
- Demonstrate positive and professional client-centric and service-oriented attitude
- Clearly communicates a vision and removes barriers for team success
- Proven ability to meet sales targets and production goals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized; ability to plan and complete multiple priorities with competing deadlines
- Knowledge of banking operational processes and how they relate to Federal Regulations and Laws
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based upon the needs of the business
- Ability to travel throughout the branch network
- Experience managing multiple locations or managing remote locations
- Must register as a mortgage loan originator with the NMLS prior to being allowed to take mortgage loan applications, negotiate or extend terms of a mortgage or other loan secured by a residence
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
- Prior multi-branch/office management experience preferred
- Life and Health Licenses to support investment program preferred
- Willing and able to work required overtime
- Willing and able to travel to other locations/branches
- Must be flexible and able to adapt to new job locations and reassignments as directed
- Ability to lift 5 to 25 lbs. (coins)
