About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, study, research and develop products
- Define, with customers, information needed to develop new products
- Conduct technical and technological prospecting and identify product improvement needs
- Evaluate projects and products and issue reports and technical opinions
- Develop products, including designs, specifications, prototypes, materials and processes
- Monitor construction, testing and analysis of results
- Ensure product development meets technical standards
- Lead research projects and product feasibility analyses
- Participate in product qualification, certification and homologation activities
- Develop product modification projects
- Search for and implement cost-effective and savings opportunities across products
- Provide technical support to the factory during industrialization phases
- Provide technical support to Marketing, including technical brochures and catalogues
- Provide technical support to Commercial, including visits to regional strategic customers
- Report to the RD Brazil Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s in engineering (Electrical preferred)
- Advanced English, written and spoken
- Spanish is differential
- Advanced Excel
- Excel macros and VBA are differential
- Proven experience with R&D, manufacturing, or quality
- Knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Project and AutoCAD
