About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver presentations and live demos at trade shows, conferences, webinars, customer sites, technical events and user meetups
- Support Sales with prospect demos and help customers understand Onshape's capabilities
- Design models, scenarios and stories that demonstrate Onshape's capabilities
- Produce demo materials, scripts, tutorials, feature videos and "What's New" release videos
- Write blog posts, feature pages, competitive comparisons and other technical content
- Publish work on the Onshape website, social channels and other channels
- Translate product features into clear business benefits, including the combined value of Onshape with Arena PLM and Windchill
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, Technical Services and Product Development on launches, campaigns and events
- Bring customer feedback to product teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of hands-on experience with professional CAD software; Onshape and/or SolidWorks preferred, with Creo, CATIA, NX, Inventor and others also considered
- Experience with PDM and/or PLM tools, such as SolidWorks PDM, Teamcenter, or Windchill
- Proven presentation and live software demo skills for technical and executive audiences, in person and virtually, including webinars
- Ability to turn technical capabilities into business value
- Strong written communication skills
- Comfort creating and appearing in video content, and curiosity to learn video editing
- Passion for CAD and design
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is nice to have; equivalent CAD, drafting or industry experience will be considered
- Experience with video editing tools such as Premiere Pro or Camtasia is nice to have
- Background in applications engineering, technical sales or training, especially with a CAD reseller or channel partner, is nice to have
- Experience using or implementing Arena PLM or Windchill is nice to have
- Experience building custom integrations with APIs, such as REST APIs or SolidWorks API, and scripting languages is nice to have
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring current or future sponsorship from PTC
