About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and implement the company's social media strategy to support brand awareness, sentiment, social thought leadership, and marketing communications
  • Execute content development, deployment, and measurement functions supporting social media content strategy
  • Design and execute social media strategies and campaigns for brand storytelling and awareness
  • Administer corporate social media accounts and maintain the social media calendar
  • Manage social media communities to optimize reach, earned growth, and organic engagement
  • Plan, create, and publish content based on business objectives and user needs
  • Implement best practices and respond to changing environments, technologies, and trends
  • Track and measure platform performance and sentiment, report findings, and adapt approaches
  • Collaborate with department staff, leadership, and product teams
  • Support crisis communications, media relations, external partnerships, and thought leadership as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 3-4 years working in a professional communications environment with work related to content strategy and development, marketing, writing, and/or editing
  • Minimum 1–2 years direct experience in a professional social media role
  • Hands-on experience using social media platforms and third-party tools for content management and social media data analytics
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and strategic content planning skills
  • Strong understanding of translating brand strategy and storytelling into channel-specific content
  • Ability to collaborate on communications projects involving multiple stakeholders and priorities
  • Experience ideating, writing, and editing website and/or blog articles in a professional environment
  • Ability to develop own ideas, take initiative, and assume responsibility
  • Ability to independently ideate and implement strategies and tactics
  • Ability to perform topical research and produce or upcycle related content
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience and/or interest in the public sector and government
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States; PCG does not sponsor newly hired foreign national workers for work authorization, including H-1B sponsorship
