About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide project management and technical expertise on large-scale IT projects
  • Oversee development of deliverables, status reports, and other work products
  • Plan and oversee project work and develop or manage organizational change management strategies or processes
  • Provide technical oversight of vendor and client processes, methodologies, and tools
  • Perform technical reviews and assessments of vendor or client tasks, deliverables, and work products
  • Support project stakeholder goals and outcomes
  • Develop, manage, and update the Project Plan and project documents, including Communication Plan, Risk Plan, Stakeholder Register, and Resource Plan
  • Support client and stakeholder planning and strategy discussions regarding risks and issues
  • Understand and apply software development life cycle methodologies
  • Participate in business development activities and assist with proposal development
  • Provide management oversight of the project budget
  • Manage communications with clients, vendors, and project stakeholders
  • Learn and potentially perform IV&V tasks and develop IV&V reports
  • Manage and track IV&V findings logs
  • Support development of multiple IV&V deliverables

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be based in Arizona
  • 5+ years of overall IT industry experience
  • 5+ years of prior project management experience using both Agile and Waterfall techniques in IT-related projects, including operations, infrastructure, and application development projects
  • Strong Microsoft Office applications skills, especially MS Project
  • Ability to move projects forward within a specific timeline and budget while working at a detailed level
  • Ability to interact with various levels of management and with clients
  • Excellent business writing skills and ability to make presentations to various audiences
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Arizona state agency experience preferred
  • Active Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
  • Experience in State Healthcare, Labor, and Child Support domains preferred
  • Experience with risk management and mitigation preferred
  • Experience with IV&V preferred
  • Active Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification preferred
  • Organizational Change Management experience preferred
  • Ability to understand the service delivery system for programs administered by states and monitored by federal regulators preferred
  • Ability to understand and be an expert in complex federal regulations and requirements preferred
  • Must be available during set working hours
  • Must have a safe, private, and distraction-free environment in which to complete work
  • Must be able to give full attention to PCG job duties
