About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain seasonal development calendar and track milestones to ensure fittings, sample reviews, and final approvals are completed on time
- Attend fittings and take notes and photos to distribute to patternmakers, Tech Design, and factories
- Manage factory sample making and distribute materials, cut tickets, and BOMs as needed
- Oversee distribution of seasonal fabrics and monitor fabric deadlines
- Assist in maintaining seasonal WIP report chart following daily design updates
- Oversee handoff of developments to the production team, including passing cut sheets and maintaining BOM records for each style
- Issue development POs and build BOMs using the PLM system
- Receive, review, and approve factory invoices and track seasonal budget
- Assist with show/shoot preparation and market preparation
- Manage workflow of patterns, samples, and alterations in the atelier
- Optimize resource allocation and manage day-to-day atelier operations
- Oversee materials inventory and equipment maintenance; organize replenishment and repairs
- Oversee handoffs from design to patternmakers and provide technical expertise in construction and finishings
- Act as liaison between patternmakers and design throughout development
- Implement and maintain quality control standards for patterns and finished garments
- Source and onboard freelance staff as needed
- Ensure adherence to company policies and workplace safety standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- College degree or relevant experience in Product Development
- 5-10 years of experience in Product Development
- Strong organization and attention to details
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong ability to multitask
- Experience with product management systems such as GCS, RLM, PLM
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
