About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Establish and create fit on each garment for show samples and production while maintaining the design aesthetic throughout the product life cycle
  • Partner with design to create measurement pages for initial proto launches and new versions of existing styles
  • Work on special styles involving unusual points of measure, mapped style lines, or drape interpretation into points of measure
  • Prepare jersey cut-and-sew styles
  • Prepare and/or launch paperwork and technical packages for carry-over styles
  • Partner with design to track prototype ready dates
  • Measure prototypes, conduct fittings with design, and relay fit comments to factories
  • Return pinned prototypes to vendors and request second prototypes when required
  • Maintain detailed prototype measurement records
  • Measure show samples before fittings
  • Review garments with design and/or production for show sample and production model preparation
  • Create Size S measurements and launch PPS with all vendors
  • Establish CH grade rules with knitwear factories
  • Lead knitwear production fittings and communicate production fit comments
  • Establish final production fit and grading for each style and develop brand construction standards for knitwear

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Fashion design degree required
  • 5-7 years relevant luxury industry experience
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with ease
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel, Photoshop
