About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own day-to-day organic social execution for Protein Candy
- Create, capture, edit, schedule, and publish video and static content
- Brief and adapt assets for social, digital, retail materials, paid ads, and launches
- Identify trends and create brand-appropriate content
- Write captions and reshare approved user-generated content
- Manage comments, direct messages, and community conversations
- Provide frontline customer support through social channels, email, and the customer support platform for both brands
- Answer questions about products, store availability, orders, delivery, and subscriptions
- Coordinate with Customer Service and Operations to resolve issues and keep customers informed
- Escalate sensitive complaints and product quality concerns
- Maintain FAQs and response templates
- Monitor brand mentions, sentiment, and recurring feedback
- Engage customers, fans, creators, and relevant communities
- Maintain a pipeline of micro-influencers and creators
- Coordinate product seeding, creator briefings, deliverables, shipments, giveaways, and winner communication
- Track creator performance, usage permissions, collaboration logs, spend, and results
- Support campaigns, product launches, sampling programs, and brand activations
- Coordinate timelines, event logistics, product shipments, marketing materials, swag vendors, inventory, donations, and community partnerships
- Represent the brands at events and capture content
- Maintain social, creator, community, and events portions of the marketing calendar
- Track deadlines, dependencies, conflicts, missing assets, and delivery risks
- Maintain scorecard metrics and deliver reporting on organic social, creator activity, activations, and customer support
- Recommend improvements to content, engagement, and customer support
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2–4 years of relevant experience in social media, marketing, community management, or customer support
- CPG or DTC experience preferred
- Experience managing brand social accounts and understanding engagement drivers
- Ability to capture and edit high-quality video and static content
- Comfortable on and behind the camera
- Creative writing ability and capacity to adapt to two distinct brand voices
- Ability to handle customer questions and complaints with empathy, sound judgment, and strong follow-through
- Availability for occasional weekend events and brief, scheduled customer support check-ins
- Comfortable connecting with customers by phone and face to face at community events
- Highly organized, able to balance planned projects with incoming customer inquiries
- Ability to build relationships with customers, creators, and community partners
- Proactive communication and issue escalation
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Ability to attend one required in-office day per month in London, Ontario and travel to scheduled events and activations as needed
- Familiarity with Shopify, Gorgias, social scheduling tools, and influencer platforms is a nice-to-have
- Experience supporting DTC orders and subscriptions is a nice-to-have
- Photography, videography, or event experience is a nice-to-have
- Spanish or French speaking is an asset
