About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design commercial and industrial power-distribution, lighting, and control systems
- Perform electrical load calculations, fault-current analysis, and voltage-drop calculations
- Apply the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local building codes
- Produce electrical design drawings, sketches, schedules, and project specifications
- Specify electrical equipment, components, and systems
- Coordinate electrical design work with mechanical, architectural, structural, and HVAC teams
- Review project submittals and contractor shop drawings
- Conduct field activities, including surveys of existing conditions and construction observation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) REQUIRED
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience designing building electrical systems REQUIRED
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit REQUIRED
- Working knowledge of MEP systems and building construction REQUIRED
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment REQUIRED
- Strong written and verbal communication skills REQUIRED
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
