About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Partner with leadership to deliver and grow the Houston healthcare business
Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams delivering forward-thinking, sustainable healthcare designs
Lead multidisciplinary teams in the design and execution of healthcare projects, aligned with client goals, regulatory standards, and contractual obligations
Cultivate and maintain strong healthcare client relationships to drive repeat business and new opportunities
Own project budgets, timelines, and resources to deliver on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
Manage financial performance, implement risk controls, and ensure technical and regulatory compliance
Supervise and mentor engineering teams, including development opportunities and performance evaluations
Present complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences in engaging, innovative ways
Promote sustainable design practices that support improved health outcomes, grounded in current scientific research
Serve as Lead Engineer or Engineer of Record on key projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering REQUIRED
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas REQUIRED
Minimum 15 years of professional experience, including hospital design from concept through construction administration and systems commissioning REQUIRED
Experience leading project teams as a project manager or project director on medium- to large-scale projects REQUIRED
Proven leadership in mechanical design
Client-focused, collaborative approach
Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills
