About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the execution of human resources plans and practices with the HR Team
- Perform I-9 compliance and file audits
- Conduct exit interviews and stay interviews
- Provide open enrollment support, potentially onsite
- Communicate with employees about open enrollment
- Facilitate meetings with clients, brokers, the HR team, and relevant internal PuzzleHR service teams
- Compile EEO-1 reporting
- Assist with employee onboarding support as next-level support after the Employee Onboarding Associate
- Create standard operating procedures
- Assist with internal client investigations
- Maintain employee records and information in client systems
- Provide HRIS recommendations for HCM projects and work directly with HCM system support
- Support lead HR initiatives involving employee relations, compensation administration, benefits, talent acquisition, and organizational talent development
- Partner with internal service teams to ensure accurate and efficient service delivery
- Provide input and support for HRSP projects
- Participate in developing and optimizing client systems and processes
- Maintain current knowledge of progressive HR practices, key trends, legal requirements, and applicable regulations
- Identify areas for continuous improvement of HR services and processes
- Participate in department staff meetings and other meetings and seminars
- Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, with at least two (2) years of progressively responsible human resources experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, including a minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible human resources experience
- PHR or SHRM-CP Certification preferred
- Knowledge of human resources administration, employment, compensation and classification, and employee development
- Broad knowledge of HR functions
- Knowledge of employment-related legal requirements and federal and state regulations
- Knowledge of facilitation and presentation methods
- Knowledge of statistical methods, concepts, and analytical tools used in HR processes
- Knowledge of interviewing and candidate evaluation processes
- Familiarity with multiple HRIS and payroll software systems
- Ability to deliver clear and effective presentations
- Ability to analyze HR data and draw conclusions
- Ability to interpret and apply state and federal statutes and regulations
- Ability to provide recommendations for employment and employee relations issues
- Ability to manage multiple detailed tasks with changing priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency in client relationship management tools, virtual meeting software, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to move up to 15 pounds
- Ability to participate in video conferences/meetings
