Key responsibilities & impact

Own Android features from technical design through implementation, testing, release, and production monitoring
Build intuitive and accessible mobile interfaces for creators and users
Develop resilient integrations across APIs, authentication, caching, and background processing
Contribute to Android architecture and technical decisions that improve scalability and maintainability
Diagnose and resolve crashes, performance issues, memory problems, device-specific behavior, and network-related issues
Monitor production performance and proactively identify areas for improvement
Improve application stability, release quality, and overall user experience
Participate in a defined production-support rotation and take ownership of issues through resolution
Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
Strengthen automated test coverage for critical Android user journeys
Participate in code reviews and provide thoughtful technical feedback
Mentor other engineers and contribute to engineering best practices
Independently design, write, debug, test, and maintain production-quality software
Use coding assistants and AI agents effectively while validating AI-generated code
Protect proprietary code and sensitive information when using AI tools
Collaborate with Android and iOS Engineering, Backend Engineering, QA, Product, and Design
Report to the Engineering Lead

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including substantial native Android development experience
Strong experience with Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack, Android lifecycle, concurrency, and API integration
Experience building, shipping, and maintaining production Android applications
Strong automated testing experience
Experience troubleshooting mobile applications across different devices, networks, and performance conditions
Understanding of mobile security, accessibility, CI/CD, and application release processes
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with Product, Design, QA, backend, and iOS teams
Experience mentoring engineers or providing technical guidance
Experience working on media, creator, social, community, or social-feed products is a plus
