About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Dispatch Supervisor in scheduling transport for Drivers across the organization in the assigned region
  • Receive, route, and troubleshoot facility and driver calls
  • Enter data and run reports, including reports related to Motive Care clients
  • Schedule client transports to and from facilities
  • Be available on call at least two weekends per month
  • Attend required meetings, including in the absence of the Dispatch Supervisor
  • Complete required reports associated with the Transportation Department
  • Ensure driver availability when needed
  • Support the supervisor with day-to-day operational needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record
  • Dispatch or Transportation experience preferred, not required
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity of basic auto repairs
  • Ability to problem solve by gathering and analyzing information
  • Ability to handle a crisis and or potential risk situation and react appropriately
  • Working knowledge of federal and state standards, regulating body standards, and compliance standards
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to determine the most efficient routes to specified locations
  • Completion of all required trainings designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities
  • Ability to talk, hear, sit, stand, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally walk, stoop, twist, kneel, or crouch
  • Ability to seldom lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
