About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Action operator requests through the Admin console, including market, pricing and account-level changes
Respond to client queries across Slack, Microsoft Teams and Jira Service Management
Serve as a first point of contact for operator partners during live racing
Monitor live horse and greyhound racing markets and make trading interventions, including suspending, adjusting or settling markets
Act on non-runners, reserves, withdrawals, delays and abandonments
Monitor racing data and pricing feeds for missing, delayed or incorrect information
Monitor pricing and model outputs for unusual behaviour or discrepancies and investigate or escalate
Flag pricing or liability concerns to the Head of Trading
Provide live operational support to greyhound stadia using the racecourse app
Resolve stadium-side issues and escalate unresolved issues appropriately
Build and maintain operational playbooks
Triage and resolve incidents, escalating to trading, engineering, product, data suppliers and partners
Follow escalated issues through to resolution and keep clients updated
Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota
Maintain accurate shift logs and provide clean handovers
Suggest improvements to tooling, processes and playbooks
Identify opportunities to reduce repetitive manual work through tooling, automation and AI
Contribute to continuous improvement and high operational standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong working knowledge of horse racing and/or greyhound racing, including racing markets and settlement
Experience in a trading, trading operations or customer-facing operations role within betting, ideally B2B
Confidence handling live issues and client queries under time pressure
Clear written and verbal communication across Slack, Teams and ticketing tools
Comfortable using technology and learning new systems and tools
Availability to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays on a regular rota
Working knowledge of both horse racing and greyhound racing (desirable)
Experience with Jira Service Management or a similar ticketing system (desirable)
Exposure to greyhound stadia or racecourse operations (desirable)
Familiarity with sportsbook back-office or admin tooling (desirable)
Familiarity with APIs, data feeds, monitoring tools or basic technical troubleshooting (desirable)
Interest in AI and automation, particularly using modern tools to improve processes, analyse problems and remove repetitive manual work (desirable)
Experience using AI tools in a professional environment would be useful (desirable)
