About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define the on-premises reference architecture and explicit dependencies, services, and features that will not cross the customer boundary
  • Own the path from signed software bundle to production platform inside customer datacentres
  • Ship a Helm chart and air-gapped tarball that install on vanilla Kubernetes and OpenShift without internet access
  • Replace managed cloud services with self-hosted PostgreSQL, S3-compatible object storage, secret management, and identity federation
  • Own the model-serving stack, GPU VRAM and concurrency sizing matrix, and model-weight distribution and rollback across air gaps
  • Build ephemeral customer-shaped environments and installation and upgrade smoke tests across Kubernetes distributions, identity providers, and network modes
  • Ensure signed images, SBOMs, minimal base images, and no critical or high CVEs at release
  • Establish tested N-3 upgrade paths, backward-compatible migrations, feature flags, health checks, and support-bundle contributions
  • Exercise architectural veto power to keep the self-hosted product simple and avoid new managed dependencies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience shipping software that someone else installs
  • Deep Helm expertise, including subcharts, conditional templating, and values design
  • Experience with OCI registries
  • Kubernetes experience beyond a single distribution, including OpenShift and its SCCs, vanilla Kubernetes, RKE2, or k0s
  • Experience in air-gapped or heavily restricted environments, including image mirroring, offline bundles, egress proxies, custom CA bundles, and no external DNS
  • Experience replacing managed cloud services with self-hosted equivalents, such as CloudNativePG, MinIO or another S3-compatible store, Vault, or External Secrets
  • Practical software supply chain security experience, including cosign or equivalent image signing, SBOM generation, distroless or minimal base images, and CVE triage
  • Strong infrastructure-as-code and CI experience with Terraform, Ansible, and pipeline matrices
  • Hands-on experience serving models on GPUs using vLLM, NVIDIA NIM, or TensorRT-LLM
  • Experience with VRAM and concurrency sizing and the NVIDIA GPU Operator / Container Toolkit
  • Strong Go and/or Python skills
  • Willingness and judgment to exercise architectural authority and say no when necessary
  • Fluent in French and English
