About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage an assigned sales territory and develop expertise in its demographics, geography, events, dealer circumstances, and external influences
- Collaborate with the Outside Sales Rep, Regional Account Specialist, and Regional Sales Manager
- Sell bicycles, parts, accessories, products, programs, promotions, and initiatives to dealers
- Communicate territory information and recommendations to the regional sales team
- Determine sales strategy and product mix, promotion, placement, and pricing
- Assess dealer selling performance and make recommendations
- Develop and sustain dealer relationships to increase sales
- Monitor QBP and competitor programs to identify dealer needs
- Track dealer specialties and areas requiring assistance
- Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and annual territory goals
- Track selling activity using established methods and programs
- Negotiate discounts, terms, and credit limits on behalf of QBP
- Meet monthly with the Regional Sales Manager to analyze and strategize results, goals, and objectives
- Work on special projects assigned by management
- Address and resolve customer concerns and complaints
- Share best practices and contribute positively to QBP culture
- Perform other assigned tasks and responsibilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Deep understanding of the sales process and execution of selling skills
- Ability to quickly learn QBP's product offerings and identify dealer needs
- 2-4 years of sales experience in the bike or outdoor industry preferred but not required
- Excellent relationship-building skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interpret others by observing tone and body language
- Strong negotiation skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and ability to quickly learn other programs
- Ability to travel 3-5 weeks annually
- Valid driver's license
- Must pass an annual driving background check
- Available to work regional and other events as necessary
- Extensive use of computers and phones
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
- Visa sponsorship and relocation assistance are not available
