About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary technical expert for the Drone First Responder solutions portfolio
- Support customers, channel partners, and internal sales teams throughout the customer lifecycle
- Collaborate with public safety agencies, first responders, government organisations, and commercial customers
- Conduct product demonstrations, technical workshops, proof-of-concept activities, flight testing, and customer evaluations
- Define product requirements and provide field feedback to Product Management and Engineering
- Document requirements and customer feedback using Confluence, Jira, and related tools
- Capture operational challenges and mission needs and translate them into product recommendations
- Support sales through technical presentations, RFP responses, customer workshops, technical qualification, and proposal development
- Train and enable reseller and integration partners
- Support FAA-related operational concepts, BVLOS operations, public aircraft operations, waivers, and Part 108 requirements
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, competitive technologies, and emerging DFR use cases
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Training teams to support successful deployments and customer satisfaction
Requirements
What you’ll need- Several years of experience in Application Engineering, Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Technical Pre-Sales, Customer Success Engineering, or a comparable customer-facing technical role
- Experience within UAV/UAS, public safety, defence, robotics, aerospace, telecommunications, emergency response, or related technology industries highly desirable
- Strong understanding of customer requirements gathering, technical solution development, and stakeholder management
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with cross-functional software and hardware product development teams
- Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, or similar collaboration and product management platforms
- Experience supporting technology products throughout their lifecycle
- Hands-on troubleshooting, product demonstration, and presentation experience
- Willingness to travel extensively across the United States and Canada
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate required
- Knowledge of FAA regulatory frameworks, including current and emerging Part 108 requirements, strongly preferred
- Hands-on experience with BVLOS waivers and public aircraft operations, including COAs, strongly preferred
- Experience with dock-based drone operations, remote flight operations, or Drone First Responder programmes strongly preferred
- Familiarity with autonomous drone deployment systems and remote command-and-control environments advantageous
- Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal
- Proactive, solution-oriented approach and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Valid work permit for the USA requested in the application
