About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define and execute the commercial roadmap and vendor distribution strategy for assigned categories
Establish short- and long-term procurement targets aligned with business growth
Deliver exceptional product cost without sacrificing quality or ESG considerations
Partner with technology teams to embed procurement capabilities and playbooks into Vendor Portal and Product Catalog tools
Identify and deliver 700 bps product cost reductions over the next 12 months
Structure and run competitive, end-to-end bidding processes with manufacturing partners
Own the full RFP lifecycle from vendor identification through award
Conduct rigorous negotiations and institutionalize repeatable negotiation frameworks
Build an AI agent to run RFPs systematically and support scenario analyses
Create and use component-level clean sheets to drive pricing transparency
Review and approve buy plans and optimize costs for category buy events
Govern company margin targets through Buy Plan margin review
Partner with material sourcing teams to ensure transparent and competitive supplier pricing
Negotiate launch costing and schedules for renegotiation as the business scales
Provide scale costing targets to the merchandising team
Partner with Material Managers, Sourcing Teams, and Tier 1 and Tier 2 vendors on upstream sourcing
Integrate upstream material availability into product design and development cycles
Identify and execute supply-chain value creation opportunities, including verticalization and volume consolidation
Explore commodity purchasing, selling, and pricing strategies to manage fluctuations

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of experience in global procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management in a retail apparel environment
Proven track record running competitive RFP processes with international manufacturing partners
Hands-on experience building and leveraging clean sheets for cost negotiation
Strong analytical skills and comfort with data-driven decision making
Experience working cross-functionally with merchandising, materials, and production teams
Technical aptitude for leveraging AI-powered platforms, such as LLMs, for scenario analysis and automation of complex procurement tasks
Excellent negotiation skills and commercial acumen
Experience in apparel, soft goods, or home goods strongly preferred
Bachelor's degree required
MBA or advanced degree a plus
Successful completion of a background check
