About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain Hyperspace Web (HSW) server environments and configurations
- Troubleshoot service availability, connectivity, and performance issues with application and infrastructure teams
- Manage Interconnect environments, deployments, and service health
- Investigate endpoint availability, connection failures, and web-service performance
- Maintain server-side components supporting MyChart
- Coordinate changes and troubleshoot availability issues with MyChart analysts, networking, and security teams
- Administer Windows Server and IIS components
- Coordinate certificate renewals, load-balancer changes, DNS dependencies, and secure connectivity
- Deploy approved updates across nonproduction and production environments
- Prepare implementation plans, validate service health, and maintain rollback procedures
- Monitor infrastructure health and investigate recurring failures
- Automate operational checks and maintain configuration records and support runbooks
- Provide incident updates and coordinate vendor escalations
- Coordinate changes to patient-facing and clinician-facing services with operational owners
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum three years of experience working as an Epic ECSA in a hospital or health system
- Current Epic ECSA certification covering Hyperspace Web and Interconnect
- Production administration and troubleshooting experience with HSW, Interconnect, and MyChart infrastructure
- Working proficiency with Windows Server, IIS, TLS certificates, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and load-balancing concepts
- Experience with Active Directory, virtualization, and PowerShell or comparable scripting
- Ability to distinguish application, server, network, and database issues
- Ability to coordinate troubleshooting across teams and communicate clearly during service disruptions
- Participation in a scheduled on-call rotation
- Ability to perform approved after-hours maintenance
- Preferred: Epic ECSA MyChart certification
- Preferred: Experience with F5 BIG-IP load balancing
- Additional experience with Epic printing, Business Continuity Access, or other ECSA components beneficial
- Experience with cloud and automation is a plus
- Ability to follow established security and change-control procedures
