About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide strategic clinical leadership across residential services programs, including Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) and Crisis programs.
  • Direct clinical programming and oversee groups, activities, treatment planning, and treatment-related policies and procedures.
  • Monitor compliance with statutory, regulatory, payer, contractual, privacy, and professional practice requirements.
  • Partner with Operations to meet program compliance requirements.
  • Lead program growth, innovation, service integration, and geographic or community expansion initiatives.
  • Oversee referral management and access processes.
  • Monitor quality, access, productivity, utilization, client outcomes, and operational performance; initiate corrective action as needed.
  • Manage and monitor program budgets and improve sustainability, efficiency, and revenue performance.
  • Maintain performance documentation for direct reports and assign duties to Program Directors.
  • Supervise Program Directors, including performance evaluations, development plans, and corrective action.
  • Oversee mandated training and conduct training in Evidence Based Practices and other relevant areas.
  • Identify, support, write, and obtain grant-development and funding.
  • Partner with marketing and talent acquisition on program sustainability, growth, and community engagement.
  • Lead quality improvement, risk management, incident review, and corrective action activities.
  • Attend community provider meetings, conferences, training sessions, and other relevant meetings.
  • Coordinate DHS, MA, Federal, Department of Health, and County program inspections.
  • Investigate and report suspected abuse and neglect incidents.
  • Review and resolve client and employee grievances.
  • Ensure timely completion of program evaluations.
  • Hire relevant positions in partnership with Human Resources.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and provide cross-coverage for other Senior Clinical Directors.
  • Complete paperwork, reports, and charting contemporaneously and in an organized manner.
  • Attend and facilitate regularly scheduled Managers Meetings.
  • Maintain regular work hours, confidentiality, professional growth, and appropriate supervision.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Chief Clinical Officer and Executive Leadership Team.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be licensed as a Mental Health Professional in the State of Minnesota.
  • A Master’s degree in the behavioral sciences or related field.
  • Minimum of 4,000 hours of work experience providing services to mentally ill persons.
  • Minimum of 4,000 hours of experience in administration or supervision.
  • 5 or more years progressively responsible leadership experience in behavioral health, healthcare, housing, human services or a closely related setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data, financial information, and quality measures to guide decisions and improve performance.
  • Knowledge of applicable behavioral health regulations, payer or contractual requirements, privacy expectations, and quality improvement practices.
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
