About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, mentor, coach, and grow the Ramp Travel engineering team of approximately six engineers
- Own delivery across travel management surfaces, including search and inventory, quoting and repricing, checkout, policy evaluation, loyalty, and post-booking servicing
- Own reliability and correctness of systems dependent on supplier APIs, GDS and aggregator content, TMC, and OBT integrations
- Partner with Product, Design, Operations, Partnerships, and Sales on enterprise travel commitments
- Set team practices for AI-assisted development and ship agentic booking features
- Hire additional engineers as the team grows
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years managing engineers, with a team size roughly 5 to 15
- High levels of ownership and comfort taking difficult, ambiguous problems through successful execution
- Experience building something from 0→1 and scaling it
- Willingness to be hands-on
- Technically current enough to lead a design review and evaluate an architecture proposal
- Strong product judgment and comfort talking to customers
- Experience owning a transactional system with external dependencies, such as booking, payments, marketplace, or logistics
- Corporate travel domain experience preferred, including OBTs, GDS/NDC integrations, and front-end traveler experiences
- Enterprise B2B fintech or T&E background preferred
- Experience rolling out agentic development tooling to a team or shipping LLM-backed features preferred
