About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive revenue and advance the Company’s business interests in partnership with the Sales Director and Marketing Team
  • Develop comprehensive sales plans and manage territory business plans to meet revenue goals and quotas
  • Build targeted business plans and strategies for resource allocation and sales activities
  • Assist in planning sales strategy and managing internal processes supporting Territory Managers
  • Build, monitor, and orchestrate the sales pipeline; manage pipeline size, shape, and quality; analyze win rates and win/loss ratios
  • Mentor and coach Territory Managers on sales processes, activity standards, work discipline, and consultative selling
  • Manage and assist Territory Managers with sales tactics, buying signals, objections, and deal strategies
  • Conduct weekly deal reviews with each Territory Manager, manage to metrics, and track pipeline activity daily
  • Engage appropriate resources at the right times
  • Maintain knowledge of deal stages and next-step commitments within the assigned territory
  • Assist with understanding client needs, qualifying opportunities, diagnosing issues, and resolving problems
  • Hire, retain, onboard, and offboard sales talent as needed
  • Motivate and support sales teams in prospecting and selling new and install-base deals
  • Assess, manage, and document employee performance and provide feedback
  • Use and reinforce sales tools and metrics
  • Prepare and present weekly reports on team accomplishments and performance against plan
  • Assist the team in developing and maintaining relationships with prospects, customers, internal resources, and partners
  • Develop tactical plans, recommend and implement best practices, assess progress, and align resources to reach sales goals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Three to Five (3-5) years sales experience, required
  • Industry related sales management experience, required
  • Success achieving progressively high quota or other sales-related goals
  • Demonstrated track record of customer acquisition and retention
  • Proven ability to prospect, qualify, negotiate, manage, and close deals
  • Leadership experience with a documented record of achievement
  • Proven experience motivating self and others
  • Ability to solve practical problems across complex situations and interpret varied instructions
  • Ability to analyze and interpret business information, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Clear and succinct communication across varied mediums and settings
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Ability to gather and analyze information skillfully and develop alternative solutions
  • Ability to follow instructions, respond to management direction, take responsibility, and keep commitments
  • Ability to work long hours when necessary to reach goals
  • Ability to facilitate open communication and relationships with staff, colleagues, prospects, and customers
  • Ability to build rapport and constructive relationships, use diplomacy and tact, and diffuse high-tension situations
