About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own creative strategy across organic social, paid acquisition, UGC, creators, and launches
  • Develop concepts and write briefs for Instapacks, drops, partnerships, and seasonal moments
  • Write hooks, scripts, and copy direction for the team and creators
  • Direct the output and priorities of the social team, freelancers, and production partners
  • Partner with Leonhart and in-house creators on content and distribution
  • Review creative before publication and provide improvement notes
  • Build a repeatable process for producing, reviewing, publishing, and testing creative
  • Run the paid-social testing roadmap and adapt winning UGC for paid
  • Turn collector behavior, reviews, customer insights, and cultural moments into content
  • Maintain a rolling content and launch calendar and extend launches beyond week one
  • Use performance data to determine which concepts, hooks, formats, and creators to scale
  • Send a weekly creative performance recap
  • Set and protect Rare Candy’s voice and visual approach
  • Work with the Director of Growth and CEO on brand positioning and messaging
  • Audit six months of organic and paid content, establish a weekly creative rhythm, and create initial briefs
  • Build a dependable weekly creative pipeline, structured paid-creative testing program, creator/UGC system, launch concept backlog, and weekly performance report
  • Develop Rare Candy’s recognizable brand voice and look and lead creative across Growth over time

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years in creative strategy, social, content, or brand marketing
  • Experience ideally at a consumer, marketplace, gaming, collectibles, sports, or culture-driven brand
  • Experience directing creative that performed, with ability to explain changes and results
  • Ability to write sharp creative briefs
  • Fluency in TikTok, Reels, Shorts, YouTube, creator content, and paid-social formats
  • Experience briefing and managing creators
  • Experience changing creative based on performance data
  • Strong writing and editing skills for copy, hooks, and scripts
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Ability to manage timelines and expectations across creators, freelancers, and internal teams
  • Knowledge of Pokémon and the TCG world, including products, creators, language, and culture
  • Experience scaling paid-social creative on Meta and TikTok is a bonus
  • Experience with drops, livestreams, or launch-driven brands is a bonus
  • Experience growing a small creative team is a bonus
  • Location: Dallas preferred, or Remote-US with Central/Eastern overlap
