About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive profitable growth, gross margin, and strategic performance for assigned product lines or supplier portfolios
  • Own revenue, volume, gross margin, product mix, and profitability performance
  • Develop and execute portfolio strategies, pricing guidance, sourcing plans, inventory actions, and growth priorities
  • Monitor market trends, supply conditions, cost changes, competitive activity, and material availability
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships and serve as the primary commercial liaison between supplier partners and ENTEC Polymers
  • Align with suppliers on growth priorities, product positioning, target markets, pricing strategy, forecasts, service expectations, and supply planning
  • Support supplier agreements, cost negotiations, price guides, delivered cost analysis, and packaging strategies
  • Equip Sales with portfolio playbooks, training, market intelligence, pricing guidance, application examples, and competitive positioning tools
  • Coach Account Managers on deal strategy, new business development, customer retention, re-engagement opportunities, and objection handling
  • Partner with Marketing and Commercial Support on targeted customer, segment, application, or supplier-aligned campaigns
  • Support key customer opportunities as a product expert by identifying value propositions, alternatives, program opportunities, and risk mitigation options
  • Use CRM, dashboards, and business analytics to evaluate portfolio performance, pipeline quality, quote activity, wins, losses, gaps, and missed opportunities
  • Create reports and insights that guide sales action plans and improve portfolio performance
  • Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Planning, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Service
  • Attend supplier meetings, customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Material Science, Supply Chain or related training required
  • Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in similar title and scope of responsibility preferred
  • Financial business acumen demonstrated by previous work experience
  • Sales or sales management experience preferred
  • Commodity and/or engineering plastics market experience
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Knowledge of plastic resin markets, product families, processing methods, applications, supplier dynamics, and competitive positioning
  • Capability in supplier and customer negotiation, pricing discipline, cost management, forecasting, contract support, and profitability analysis
  • Proficiency with CRM, dashboards, reporting tools, Microsoft Office, and related business systems
  • Effective communication, presentation, coaching, and influencing skills
  • Ability to prioritize competing initiatives, respond quickly to commercial needs, follow through on commitments, and develop practical solutions
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Proficiency in English required
  • Ability to work in a shared space with constant noise
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 40 lbs weekly
  • Ability to travel by foot, car, bus, airplane, or other transportation
  • Ability to set up desk equipment, including connecting cables and power cords
