About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and execute integrated product strategy across RBC’s Enterprise Identity and Access Management platform
- Own the unified EIAM platform strategy and roadmap across identity lifecycle, authorization, authentication, governance, privileged access management, and secrets management
- Define business requirements and map them to technical specifications, solution architectures, and designs
- Liaise between vendor capabilities and RBC product requirements and influence vendor product roadmap decisions
- Evaluate vendor offerings against technical and business criteria and identify capability gaps
- Translate business requirements into actionable product roadmap items
- Work with Solution and IAM Architects to make disciplined access-solution decisions across engineering, integration, application support, operations, and program teams
- Prioritize and update strategies and roadmaps as business needs and vendor landscapes evolve
- Serve as the primary contact for cross-functional stakeholders on IAM strategy and vendor integration decisions
- Develop forward-looking roadmaps aligned with the two-year technology vision, including AI and PAM innovation trends
- Collaborate with Compliance and Risk teams to embed regulatory controls into product design
- Mentor product and technical team members on identity architecture, governance strategy, and technical best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of IAM experience, preferably in a financial institution/large enterprise environment, with experience in one or more of PAM, Secrets Management, IGA, Authentication, Authorization, or Cloud/AI IAM solutions
- 5+ years of experience translating business and compliance requirements into technical architecture and policy frameworks
- Experience evaluating and liaising between vendor products and organizational requirements
- Experience developing and maintaining program- and project-level roadmaps
- Ability to develop and own comprehensive IAM strategies aligned with Enterprise Architecture
- Experience with Idira (CyberArk), SailPoint, HashiCorp, Secrets Manager, Entra ID, and other IAM tools and platforms
- Experience creating realistic roadmaps incorporating perspectives from IAM, Cyber Security, and stakeholders
- Experience translating authentication architecture, authorization frameworks, identity governance, PAM, and compliance landscapes into product strategy and roadmaps
- Ability to lead cross-functional technical teams in complex, regulated banking/financial services environments
- Proficiency with agile product delivery frameworks and automation technologies
- Strong presentation and communication skills with senior leadership and executives
- Ability to determine stakeholder and project information and communication needs
- Deadline-driven and results-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- CISSP, CISM, or other IAM-specific certification is nice-to-have
- Experience with Azure AD, Okta, AWS IAM, zero-trust architecture, security frameworks, SOC 2, ISO 27001, digital transformation, Agile/Scrum, API management, microservices security, IAM configuration, or IAM architecture is nice-to-have
