About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Nurture and grow relationships with potential home buyers throughout their home-buying journey
- Act as the client’s primary contact and gateway to RBC colleagues and partners
- Provide professional credit advice across the stages of the home-buying journey
- Advise and educate clients on home equity financing, personal lending, credit card, and everyday banking solutions
- Contact leads generated through online home journey tools such as True Home Affordability
- Establish regular contact strategies and update relationship-management systems
- Guide clients through awareness, research, validation of home equity financing options, and mortgage-application decisions
- Use video-enabled capabilities, screen sharing, and advisor/client dashboards to enhance client experience
- Identify opportunities and make warm introductions to RBC partners
- Keep current with RBC policies and procedures and exercise due diligence
- Work a variety of shifts Monday–Friday 9 AM–8 PM and Saturday 10 AM–6 PM local time
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of lending experience, including end-to-end processing of credit applications through to funding
- Demonstrated experience with mortgage lending
- Experience in home equity financing deals
- Proven ability to provide complex credit advice, including mortgage fulfillment
- Professional-level role; established track record in lending; not entry-level
- A change and agile mindset, consistently delivering an exceptional client experience
- Strong interpersonal skills that build trust, drive loyalty and proactively seek to nurture and develop client relationships
- Excellent communication skills, time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
- Digital literacy across smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other devices
- Flexibility to provide advice and service during evenings and weekends
- Ability to work independently as a Remote Office Employee (ROE) from a home office, with proven time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet technological and confidentiality requirements, including a private and quiet space and Internet connectivity
- Previous relationship management experience within the financial or service industry (nice to have)
- Desire to build exceptional client experiences across phone, chat, email, and other channels (nice to have)
