About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver exceptional client experience following all five principles of the Black Card Experience
- Enable and nurture a One RBC enterprise relationship by introducing clients to appropriate solutions, partners and capabilities
- Lead credit discovery and provide structuring advice based on clients’ market position, strategy, financials and risk profile
- Develop innovative credit structures aligned with client objectives
- Partner with Private Bankers to identify and assess credit growth opportunities and expand wallet share
- Lead the end-to-end credit process from opportunity assessment and structuring through adjudication and funding
- Structure competitive, tailored credit solutions for new money requests
- Collaborate with Group Risk Management to align recommendations with RBC’s risk appetite and policies
- Proactively manage credit renewals and maintain credit and portfolio quality
- Collaborate with colleagues and internal partners to deliver seamless solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Undergraduate degree, ideally in Banking, Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or related field or experience
- Minimum of 5–7 years proven combined credit experience in personal and commercial banking
- Understanding of risk assessments, financial statement analysis, credit structuring solutions and deal presentations
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to design innovative credit solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Superior client relationship management skills
- Proven knowledge and understanding of RBC Private Banking financing products, credit/risk procedures, guidelines, and standards (nice to have)
- Masters in relevant discipline (nice to have)
