Sales Representative

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Generate 80% of the pipeline by identifying new business opportunities and engaging multiple prospect and customer personas
- Identify and pursue opportunities in embryology/IVF and toxicology sectors
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments
- Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts and records using CRM software
- Communicate platform value through tailored presentations and proposals
- Develop and implement SaaS sales strategies to achieve targets and expand Lumi’s market share
- Define product positioning and messaging
- Lead negotiations with potential clients and secure new business agreements
- Build and maintain relationships with laboratories, research institutions, and healthcare facilities
- Provide customer service and resolve client enquiries
- Provide feedback to marketing and product development teams
- Engage with scientists, researchers, and partners as the Voice of the Customer
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related field
- At least 3–5 years in marketing, sales, or applications within the Biotech or Life Sciences industry
- Strong understanding of laboratory workflows and processes
- Ability to contribute market insight and ideas to strategic discussions
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
- Ability to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events
- Results-oriented and self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve sales targets
- Ability to build and nurture long-term customer relationships
- Adaptability to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- Strong problem-solving, strategic-thinking, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and process management
- A full driving license and access to a car required
- Ability and willingness to travel as necessary
- Remote working location within Greater Boston Area
- Territory: Northeast and Midwest including MA, NJ, ME, VT, NY, PA, CT, DE, RI, IL, IN, OH, WI, MI, WV, VA, NC, SC, KY, TN
