About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Translate leadership priorities and strategic objectives into executable program plans with owners, milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and target dates
  • Build and manage integrated delivery schedules across multiple concurrent programs
  • Own and maintain the action register as the single source of truth for commitments
  • Establish and lead delivery governance cadence, monitor progress, resolve overdue items, and escalate risks or exceptions
  • Define and manage release, decision, and delivery gates
  • Provide portfolio-level oversight of priorities, dependencies, risks, schedule conflicts, and competing demands
  • Evaluate resource capacity across internal teams and external vendors and recommend allocation adjustments
  • Establish and maintain program management standards, processes, tools, reporting practices, and accountability frameworks
  • Provide functional leadership and guidance to project and program management resources
  • Coordinate launch, release-readiness, and go-live activities
  • Develop evidence-based program reporting using SQL, spreadsheets, business intelligence tools, and other data sources
  • Continuously improve delivery processes, reporting, accountability, risk management, and program management practices
  • Partner with leadership, internal teams, and external vendors to drive accountability, remove barriers, and advance critical projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Seven or more years of progressive experience managing complex technology, software delivery, or enterprise programs
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Experience managing action registers, backlogs, integrated schedules, or similar delivery tracking systems
  • Experience running release-readiness, stage-gate, or comparable decision processes with documented exit criteria
  • Experience reporting program status, risks, dependencies, and delivery confidence to senior leadership
  • Proficiency with SQL or strong spreadsheet and business intelligence skills sufficient to independently analyze program data
  • Expertise in software delivery, program management, portfolio oversight, and driving complex initiatives from planning through release
  • Solid analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to assess risks, dependencies, resource capacity, and delivery commitments using data-driven insights
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, build alignment, drive accountability, and operate independently in fast-paced, evolving environments
  • Travel requirements determined based on business needs
  • Must reside in Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, or Wisconsin
