About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Draft comprehensive scopes of work for construction projects
- Develop detailed RFPs and provide guidance on vendor selection and contract negotiation
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders on project requirements and standards
- Review and analyze bids, negotiate contracts, and manage contractor performance
- Oversee day-to-day construction operations to ensure projects are on time, within scope, and within budget
- Manage construction documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and daily logs
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and compliance
- Resolve construction issues and conflicts
- Serve as primary point of contact for assigned client accounts
- Provide client updates and reports and identify opportunities to expand services
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and company policies
- Implement and maintain quality control programs
- Coordinate communication among clients, contractors, and stakeholders
- Conduct regular project meetings
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must live in DFW or Houston areas
- Bachelor's degree in business management, Construction Management, or related field; qualifying experience in the roofing industry can be considered in lieu of degree
- Current minimum Class B General Contractor License or ability to become licensed as a General Contractor in all Colorado jurisdictions
- Supervisors license is a big plus
- Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible managerial and administrative experience in the construction and roofing field, 5 years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity
- OSHA Certifications and experience with project site safety protocols
- Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to talk or hear; frequently stand, walk, sit, and use hands
- Some ladder climbing to rooftops, including steep and low-slope roofs, while conducting forensic inspections of roofing materials
